Donington Park Farmhouse Hotel - Booking Conditions

Acceptance of a booking, whether verbally or in writing, shall create a legally binding contract between the Hotel and the person from whom the booking has been accepted (the Guest).

Cancellation Policy

The deposit is refundable (less a £5 administration fee) only if an advance reservation is cancelled and we have received confirmation in writing by letter, e-mail or fax by 10:00 am seven days before your arrival date.

Where the Guest has made a short-notice, midweek Reservation (within 10 days of arrival date), and no deposit has been taken, that room may be cancelled without penalty up to 12:00 midday on the arrival day. However, it is agreed between the parties that in the event of a later cancellation or non-arrival the Hotel may debit the Guest’s card with the first night’s accommodation in full, less the cost of breakfast.

Group Bookings: Advance reservations of over 8 bed nights will be liable for 50% of the reservation value of any rooms cancelled within 30 days of arrival.
The Hotel reserves the right to cancel a booking without liability in the event of damage to the Hotel by fire or other causes beyond the control of the Hotel which will prevent it from performing its obligations. The Hotel will then refund the deposit made but will have no further liability to the Guest.

Loss of or damage to Guest’s Property

The Hotel does not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to any cash, money, jewellery or other articles of value unless they are deposited at the Reception Office for safe keeping and a note of deposit obtained. The note of deposit must be presented in the event of any claim. In the event of negligence on the part of the Hotel which gives rise to loss of or damage to a Guest’s property the Hotel’s liability will be limited to £50 for any single article and subject to a total of £100 in the case of any one Guest. The Hotel does not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to motor cars or other vehicles of any kind, or any property lost in them: or horses or other live animals including pets. The Hotel refers to and relies on The Hotel Proprietors Act 1956.

Loss from of Damage to Hotel Property

Guests shall indemnify the Hotel for any loss from or damage to the Hotel or the furnishings and equipment therein caused by the wilful act or default of the Guest or persons or animals in their control. The Hotel will take from the Guest’s credit/debit card the amount required to make good or remedy the damage, or replace any items missing from the Hotel. If in the opinion of the Hotel the Guest or anyone staying with the Guest is not suitable to continue their occupation because of unreasonable behaviour, damage or nuisance to other parties, the Hotel is entitled to treat the contract as at an end and the Guest may be asked to vacate their room. The Guest will remain liable for the whole cost of the booking and no refund shall be due.

Complaints

If the guest has a complaint concerning any aspect of the services provided by the Hotel then it is the duty of the Guest to inform the Hotel immediately, or as soon as is reasonably practicable and in any event before the termination of the stay. It is specifically agreed between the parties that failure by the Guest to notify the Hotel of any complaint in accordance with the timescale set out above will entitle the Hotel to refuse to entertain the complaint, irrespective of the merits of the complaint.

General Points

The number of people occupying the room must not exceed the number stated. The Hotel does not allow food or drink other than that purchased on the premises to be consumed unless by prior arrangement. The construction, validity and performance of this Agreement is governed by the law of England and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. The Guest agrees that the Contract with the Hotel is made at the Hotel’s premises and that any proceedings between the parties shall be conducted in the County Court nearest to the Hotel.
